Baseball and Softball Opener

On Monday 20th April, the Angels had their opener on the SU league, they traveled to New Forge to play the Sliders. The Angels scored 1 run at the top of the first but they could not do much else offensively and ultimately lost the game 17-3. Their next game will be on Monday 26th April at Henry Jones where they will play the Aces.
On 25th of April, the Bucs saw their first game of the newly formed northern division of the B league when they traveled to Cavan; even though the rain washed the first game, the sun made an appearance for the afternoon game and the Bucs started their league journey with a solid win against the Comets with a final score of 14-2. Starting pitcher Jon Carter pitched a CG striking out 6 and walking none and also had a perfect afternoon at the plate going 5-5 with a double and a HR and 5 RBIs, also, former Stars MVP Terry Rosbotham (T-Bomb) showed that he has not slowed down any by hitting going 5-4 with 2 doubles and brining in 5 runs. The Stars had they double header against Ashbourne in Dublin washed out by rain and the games will be re-scheduled and the Hornets will have their first game on Saturday 2 May at 4:30pm at Hydebank Park when they visit the Bucs (1-0).
