Bucs keep rolling, take two from Giants while Stars lose to Comets

The Belfast Buccs travelled to Corkaigh Park to face the Giants and came away with two wins. Game 1 saw Bucs Coach Jose Santos take the mound for the Bucs, on the top of the first the Buccs scored 6 runs to give him all the cushion he would need in the game, after a shacky start with the first 2 hitters connecting a double and a single, and a wild pitch and a wall, the Giants scored 3 earned runs but that was all they ended up getting, led by Alex's 2 doubles and 3RBIs, Jose's double that ended up scoring due to two more errors on the play and 3 RBIs and Stefano's 3 RBIs, the Buccs cruised to a mercy rule win 17-3 in 5 innings.
On the second game, Sean Shackley took the mound for his 5th start of the season and ended up woking a gem, stellar defense behind him along with his breaking pitches mowig through the Giants lineup, he threw a 5 hit, 4K no Walk shut-out game for his 4th victory 11-0. On the Offensive side, Shack help his cause hitting a triple and scoring on a wild pitch the first run of the game and Alex linderman connecting 3 more hits including a double with 2 more RBIs to lead the Buccs attack.
On the other games scheduled for the Northern Division, the Stars travelled to Cavan to play the comets, but due to rain, 1 of the games was called off while the other ended up in a convincing victory by the home team (comets) with a final score of 13-6. With the win, the Comets take sole posesion of 3rd place pushing the stars to 4th in the table. Further game details to follow.
