Angels back to earth

After the drama of their walk-off win against the Buccaneers, the Angels were riding high coming into tonights game at a weather-beaten Hydebank Park, looking to extend their winning streak.

The Sliders had other ideas.

Led by Northstar Will Mitchell, the visiting Sliders showed just why theyre riding high on top of the Softball Ulster standings, demonstrating skill on both sides of the ball with calculated baserunning and superlative defence.

Unable to string together hits or build momentum, the Angels will look upon this game as a learning experience in this, their rookie year as they realise they have a way to go...
