Angels get ready for a Brawl

After a layoff of almost a calendar month, the Belfast Angels will return to action in their penultimate game of this, their inaugural season.

Boasting a 5-5 record and currently sitting fourth in the Softball Ulster league, the Halos will be looking to claw another couple of spots up the table before seasons end. It’s a tough task however as the defending champions stand in their way this Monday evening at Henry Jones field.

Having run the table last year, the Belfast Brawlers may be looking up at the Sliders this summer but with an impressive lineup and an explosive offense (163 runs scored) they are never a side to be taken lightly.

Jay Slevin and Jonny Craven have ensured their team have not gotten rusty in the layoff and will look for the consistent play of Sinead Shackley and Shane Hanna to continue in the hope that they can gather momentum for their last game against the Aviators on the 30th.

First pitch at 7pm.
