In the final league game of their rookie season, the Belfast Angels made the short trip to Shorts Recreational Ground to take on the Aviators looking to secure a top half of the table finish.

With Jonny Craven pitching the Angels offense got started early and was consistent enough throughout to hold off the determined Aviators bats. In a close game, the first three innings passed with the score tied at one before the Angels drove in another three in the fourth. Showing tight defence, the visitors continued to hold the lead. It would be the sixth before the Aviators would score again but by that time the damage had been done. Melvin Woods would crush a home run in the seventh to stretch the lead to 8-2, a lead that was simply too much for the home side.
